A New Era in
Oak Selection

Oak selection for cooperage has traditionally been based on three fundamental pillars: origin, species, and grain type.

Driven by the demand for excellence and the creative inertia that define our values, we have expanded this vision by introducing a new criterion: the age of the wood and its position within the tree.

The result of research and innovation

Cœur de Quintessence is meticulously crafted from oak harvested from the very heart of the tree, in its oldest and noblest part.

The result of five years of research and development at our Bordeaux laboratory, this process marks an innovative advance in the selection of wood, taking into account its position and age.

Natural softness

The heartwood is characterized by a high proportion of lignins and a naturally low ellagitannin content. This makeup gives the wine a silky texture, reduces bitterness and astringency, and accentuates the perception of sweetness.

Elegance

Cœur de Quintessence perfectly enhances the natural aromas of the fruit,
revealing all their finesse and elegance.
